Devon More Releases New Song “My Body Is.”
Vancouver-based singer-songwriter Devon More will release her long-waited sophomore album “Sky Is Falling” on February 29, 2024.
The album is her first body of work in a decade since the 2014 debut album “Foolish Youth” and comprises a 12-track.
From the album, she released the fourth single called “My Body Is.” on January 19, 2024, following “Beautiful Bitches” featuring Alannah Clark & Dana Schindel, “Songbird”, and “Finally Yours” featuring Tim Sars.
Devon More first performed the song during her 2019 “Hits Like A Girl” tour.
The track was written by Devon More Stonehocker.
“'My Body Is' is a complete sentence: my body exists, and that is enough,” Devon More said of the song. “The song is my attempt to disentangle a lifetime of mixed media messages and societal projections onto my female body - and ultimately celebrate the simple living magic in ALL body machines. Every flesh home is worthy - no matter what it looks like, or where we may find ourselves on the love/hate relationship spectrum on any given day.”- She shared on social media, “A tune to help you transmute the complications of living in a human body in a world that wants to attach strings to your worth, rights and autonomy. Every BODY is worthy.”
