Qarinah Releases Debut Song “Hell or High Water”
International heavy metal band Qarinah, consisting of Portland-based Miss Randall (vocals/drums) and Germany-based Waldemar Sorychta (guitar), released their debut song “Hell or High Water” on December 15, 2023.
Miss Randall is better known formerly American heavy metal trio Rusty Eye.
While Waldemar Sorychta is a recognized music producer in the European metal scene, known for working with bands, such as Lacuna Coil, Tiamat, Samael, Moonspell, The Gathering, and more.
The song will appear on their upcoming 4-track debut EP, which is expected to be released in early 2024.
The track was written by Miss Randall, and Waldemar Sorychta who also produced it.
Vocals, guitars, and bass were tracked in Dortmund, Germany by Waldemar Sorychta and Dennis Koehne.
Drums were recorded by recording engineer Jan Rechberger at Moon Unit in Helsinki, Finland.- The band said of the song, “It's song about perseverance against all odds, bringing back the oldschool sound of classic early Century Media albums produced by Waldemar, but with a modern flair.”
They added, “Vocals & guitars recorded in Germany by Waldemar, Miss Randall drums tracked in Helsinki, Finland by Jan Rechberger at Moon Unit. Mixed by Dennis Koehne. It will blow your mind.” -
