Exit Eden Covers Journey's “Separate Ways”
International symphonic metal band Exit Eden, consisting of Anna Brunner, Clémentine Delauney, and Marina La Torraca, released a cover of American rock band Journey's “Separate Ways” on December 11, 2023.
The song is the second single off of their upcoming sophomore album “Femmes Fatales”, following the release of “Run!” featuring Marko Hietala back in October.
The original version of the song was released by Journey as the second single from their eighth studio album “Frontiers” in 1983.
The original title is “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)”. Also, the song was used in the 2010 film “Tron: Legacy” and in season four of “Stranger Things” in 2022.
The track was written by Jonathan Cain and Steve Perry. The cover version was produced by Johannes Braun.- The new album is set to be released on January 12, 2024 and comprises a 12-track, including the original 6 songs, and six cover versions of famous cross-generational super hits.
It is their first album in seven years, and also the first release after the band's original member Amanda Somerville leaving. - source : Apple Music
