UMI Annonces New EP “talking to the wind”, Shares New Song “why dont we go”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Tierra Umi Wilson, aka UMI has announced her new EP “talking to the wind” will be released on January 19, 2024.
The new EP comprises 4-track and is her first project as an independent artist since the 2022 debut album “Forest in the City”.
From the EP, UMI released a new song “why dont we go” on November 3, 2023, following “happy im” released back in August.
The track was written by UMI and V Ron. Produced by Fred Ball and V Ron.
“This song is about enjoying your eternal youth, to be playful, to be free, to not think so much about life,” UMI said of the song. “Through the lyrics I paint a scene of me falling in love with someone I met for the first time, dancing through the night and forgetting my parents advice. ‘Why don’t we go’ is me inviting myself and the other person to just let go and to live for the sake of living—even if it’s just for one night.”- Background Photo by Tak Sugita
