Sock Drawer Releases Debut Song “Serious Tune”
Brighton-based indie-alt-pop duo Sock Drawer released their debut song “Serious Tune” along with a music video on November 2, 2023 via Salt House Records.
Last month, the duo had released a remix of the song, featuring British DJ Shadow Child, ahead of the release of the track.
The track was written by Ebony Grace Thomspon and Michael Peter Thomas Baker. Produced by Michael Baker and James Dring.
The accompanying video was directed by Thomas Voce-Siriani, starring Nicholas Williams and Alice Humphreys.
The song was born from a unique and intriguing creative process. Ebony Grace Thomspon, one half of the duo, said of the song, “Serious Tune started with a riff and a beat. Sat on the floor in Michael's studio surrounded by drum machines, tape echo and synths we decided to pretend we were sat on the back of a bus in the 80's. What would we be listening to? We're not sure but it would probably be a serious tune.”- source : Apple Music
