Bea Miller Releases New Song “gauche”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Bea Miller released a new song “gauche” on October 20, 2023 ahead of her 8-city US gauche tour.
The song is the fifth installment of her ‘twelve-part visual compendium” entitled “BEA MILLER’S CABINET” which is expected to be release in 2023.
It is midtempo alternative track with poignant references to a real-life car crash she caused at the age of 18.
The track was written by Bea Miller, Cara Salimando, Mikey LaSusa, and Kyle Shearer. Produced by Kyle Shearer and Mikey LaSusa.
The accompanying music video was directed by Gina Gizella Manning.
Bea Miller said of the song, “’gauche’ is the most literal song I have ever written, which also makes it one of my favorites. When I was 18 I truly crashed into a parked car (I left my number on the windshield), while being distracted by a beautiful woman on the sidewalk. I stumble over my words, I embarrass myself endlessly, I overthink every conversation I’ve ever had, and I constantly make mistakes. I’ve embraced that I’m a mess yet I never stop trying not to be.”- She continued, “Even the way we recorded the song was messy. [We had] a cheap microphone on the floor, with a click track and my friend Mikey playing guitar beside me. I think that’s one of the things that makes life feel exciting – finding a way to make the mess beautiful and unique.”
“gauche 2023 TOUR” kicks off at Paradise Rock Club in Boston, MA on November 29, 2023 and will conclude at EL Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, CA on December 15, 2023.
