Viji Releases New Song “Sundress in Pink”
London-based Austrian-Brazilian singer-songwriter Vanilla Jenna, aka Viji released a new song from her upcoming debut album “So Vanilla” on October 11, 2023.
The song is the third single off of the album, following “Sedative” and “Karaoke”.
The track was written by Vanilla Jenner, and Dan Carey, who also produced it.
Viji said of the song, “This song is one of my favourite ones off the record. I’m not sure why but I think the bed of instruments is really comforting to me. The title essentially creates a world in which summer never ends. As long as I’m in the dress I can stay out as long as I want. It’s about escapism, for me it was in people and mostly I didn’t care who.”- The accompanying lyric video was filmed in Marseille, starring, Hornet, Isobel Wilson, Ollie Suchodolski, Suzy Clue, Zoe Ellis, and Zach Norton.
She said of the video, “The lyric video I shot with my friends in Marseille. Fading in and out of black and white back to colour and people, I wanted to capture the change from loneliness to togetherness. And as long as the dress is in colour I remain, ‘life’s fantasy’.”
The debut album is set to be released on October 27, 2023. -
