Mike Shinoda Releases New Song “Already Over”
American singer-songwriter and Linkin Park's co-founder, Mike Shinoda released a new song “Already Over” on October 6, 2023.
The song is the follow-up to “In My Head”, released for “Scream VI”, which is the sequel to Scream (2022) and the sixth installment in the Scream film series.
The track was written and produced by Mike Shinoda.
Mike Shinoda said of the song, “I have a new song out called 'Already Over'. This song was born from restlessness. After spending a few years writing+producing for others, I needed to make a song for myself, with no features or guests. Already Over came to me while playing my favorite guitar-the same one I used on songs from ‘What I’ve Done’ to ‘In My Head’. There was a familiar DNA to the song that I think Linkin Park fans will recognize. For me, it creates a bridge from the past to a blurry but exciting future.”- Both songs of “In My Head” and “Already Over” are featured on a new eight-song music pack the VR rhythm game “Beat Saber, including Linkin Park classics like “Crawling” and “Numb/Encore”.
Mike Shinoda said, “In the bigger picture, this release takes some of my favorite things about releasing music and assembles them in a different way—with more music, games, challenges, great things to watch, and lots of new art on the way.” -
