Thomas Day Releases New Song “I Don't Wanna Leave Just Yet”
Nashville-based singer-songwriter Thomas Day will release his highly-anticipated debut album “Love Me For Another Day” on October 27, 2023 via Arista Records.
From the album, he released a new song “I Don't Wanna Leave Just Yet” on September 29, 2023.
The song is the follow-up to “Gravity” which was released in August.
The track was written by Thomas Day, Nick Ruth, and Madi Yanofsky. Produced by Nick Ruth.
“I wrote this song on a really rainy day in LA with my good friends Madi Yanofsky and Nick Ruth,” Thomas Day said of the song. “It’s basically about that feeling of not wanting to say goodbye to somebody that you know you have to, and knowing that you're never going to see that person again.”
The accompanying music video was directed by Ash Summerford (ASHTRONOT).
Thomas Day said of the video, “All the doors represent the memories I've walked through.”- Thomas Day shared on social media, “Its those last moments of happiness and youth that people yearn for while getting older. Growing up is a very crazy concept to me. So is saying goodbye to the people you love without having a choice of making them stay. I want this song to come with reassurance telling you, somethings are out of your control and that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Its a beautiful thing when you let life take you where you NEED to be.”
Thomas Day embarks on his first-ever headline tour called “Love Me For Another Day Tour” this fall. The tour kicks off at A&R Music Bar in Columbus, OH on October 17 and will conclude at Swedish American Hall in San Francisco on November 15, 2023.
