Scouting For Girls Releases New Song “Glow”
British pop rock band Scouting For Girls, consisting of Roy Stride (lead vocals/guitar), Greg Churchouse (bass) and Peter Ellard (drums), will release their seventh studio album “The Place We Used to Meet” on October 13, 2023.
It is their first album in two years since the 2021 album “Easy Cover”.
The album comprises 12-track, produced by Alex Oldroyd, Nick Tsang and Roy Stride.
The band frontman Roy Stride said of the album, “As the name suggests, it’s an album about going back to our roots and starting again. Falling back in love with music. Loving every aspect of the process: the recording, the writing, playing live and, most importantly, just hanging out as friends. There was no great plan, no overthinking beyond just writing and recording the best songs that we could. Heartbreaking, anthemic, fun and pop, indie and serious, anything went as long as we loved it. It’s the best collection of songs we’ve ever had, and I’ve loved every minute of making it.”
From the album, the band the second single called “Glow” on September 22, 2023, following the album title track.
Roy Stride said of the song, “I thought Glow was special the moment I wrote it, but it was only when everyone else around the band got excited that I really started to believe it. It’s the best song we’ve released since This Ain’t a Love Song I can’t wait for people to hear it!”- source : Apple Music
