METTE Releases New Song “FOR THE PEOPLE”
Los Angeles-based dancer and singer-songwriter Mette Towley, aka METTE will release her debut EP “METTENARRATIVE” on September 22, 2023.
The EP is her first project under her new label Since '93 and RCA US.
The EP comprises 7-track, produced by Barney Lister, DAMEDAME* and Jonny Lattimer.
METTE told VOGUE about the EP, “Music has always been my first love. Anything that I've done artistically has always been to get closer and closer and more devoted to that love. I really wanted to be an artist growing up, but dance was where I felt most confident in my abilities. Before, I would always just say, 'Yeah, I'm a dancer'. Even when I started making this EP back in 2019, I didn't tell most of the people I knew, my friends and collaborators. It just still felt so far away. Now, I feel like I can truly claim that for myself.”
From the EP, she unveiled a new song “FOR THE PEOPLE” on September 18, 2023.
The song is the follow-up to “VAN GOGH”, which was released last month.
The track was written by Mette Towley, Barbara Boko-Hyouyhat, and Edith Nelson. Produced by DAMEDAME*.

METTE announced that she had signed to Since '93 and RCA US when she released her previous song “VAN GOGH” last month.
