Bazzi Releases New Song “Doing Time”
Last month, American singer-songwriter Andrew Bazzi, aka Bazzi joined in American singer-songwriter MAX's “STRINGS” with American singer-songwriter JVKE.
Following the song, he released a new song “Doing Time” on September 13, 2023.
The song is his second solo single since the 2022 album “Infinite Dream”, following “Eyes” released back in April.
It was written by Andrew Bazzi, Jonathan Beier, Magnus Bang Olsen, Ben Philip Anderson, Jason Cornet, and Tenroc, who also produced the track.
Bazzi shared on social media, “I want to share something for the ones who care as I've been pretty MIA this year. The last 9 months have been indescribable but I will try here -- In January I stopped drinking. 9 days into January, my house flooded and the entire downstairs was destroyed. I had to move out of my house & live in hotels / airbnbs for the next 7 months. When it happened I didn't have my usual escape or vice to deal with things the way I had learned how to deal with them & for the first time in my life I faced something head on with no escape. At first it was scary, and then fear turned into gratitude & then gratitude into a range of other emotions I hadn't felt in a long time.”- He continued, “This made me think if I was feeling things so fully & complete even though it was something 'bad' or 'inconvenient', I thought 2 myself how it would feel to experience something positive like touring or travel or any genuine interaction so head on. It made me realize that up until that point I treated everything good or bad the same way, a means to escape. 9 months later of no alcohol, I've done nothing except make music & try to take care of myself (List of activities include: jumping in the ocean, golfing, going to the gym, bowling, meditating, reading, betting on nba games, listening to podcasts, playing the new Zelda game, tattooing myself, smoking cigarettes & a lot of alone time... maybe 2 much lol) I'm going to start sharing the music I've made this year with you, including my first release with doing time. It's some of my favorite ever & each song is uniquely special from the next. I miss playing shows for you & I can't wait 4 you to meet this new version of myself. Cheers 2 whatever comes next 🏄♂️❤️🌞”
