  • Victoria Canal Drops New Live Videos for “Black Swan”, “Company” & “She Walks In” from New EP “WELL WELL”

  • Spanish-American singer-songwriter Victoria Canal has dropped three live videos for “Black Swan”, “Company” and “She Walks In”.

All videos were directed by Edie Amos.
Three songs are featured on her new EP “WELL WELL”, which was released on August 18, 2023.
She said of the EP “‘WELL WELL’ was my study in the mirror for what was left after a total life shift. Who remains when the cushion of certainty is gone from underneath you? When you’re new to adulthood and trying to face your insecurities, your relationships, your sexuality, among other things? This project excavates those parts of myself in an attempt to assume my newfound adulthood.”
“Black Swan” is the 6th track on the EP. It was written by Victoria Canal, Eg White and Jonny Lattimer. Produced by Ryan Lerman, Tony Berg and Victoria Canal.
Victoria Canal said of the song, “‘Black Swan’ came to me in a period of crushing comparison, perfectionism, and pretty steep low self-esteem. I wanted to untangle the feeling of wanting so deeply to be different to who I am at the core. For my enneagram girlies, this song is a 4, through and through.”

“Company” is the 5th track on the EP. It was written by Good Scott, Victoria Canal and Jack Shepherd. Produced by Victoria Canal
She said of “Company”, “I wrote Company about that completely calm, settled feeling around someone… not having any expectations of what the relationship means, but just appreciating any chance to share space together. A simple, wholesome love song for the gays.”
“She Walks In” is the 2nd track on the EP. It was written and produce by Victoria Canal, with production by Brian Joseph, and S. Carey.
She said of the song, “I wrote ‘Shape’ and ‘She Walks In’ as sister songs. They’re both about experiencing body dysmorphia and comparison: Shape is the lighter, playful side of wanting to accept my body, while She Walks In is the dark underbelly that reveals the disabled experience. It’s the first time I’m writing about my body, so it feels vulnerable but important to me.”
