Nicki Minaj Releases New Song “Last Time That I Saw You”
Trinidadian-American rapper Nicki Minaj released a new song “Last Time That I Saw You” on September 1, 2023.
The song is taken from her upcoming fifth studio album “Pink Friday 2”, which is set to be released on November 17, 2023.
The track was written by Nicki Minaj, Hendrix Smoke, ATL Jacob, TooDope, Bak and Frankie Bash. Produced by Hendrix Smoke, ATL Jacob, Bak, Frankie Bash and TooDope.
Nicki Minaj said of the song, “I have not been excited about the release of a song to this extent for maybe... I don't know I can't even tell you, I don't even remember when! I hope that it's therapeutic for you. I hope that even after, it makes you reflect and that if you are reflecting on a time, or a person that you wish you could go back in time and have a do over etc... I hope that you are still able to smile at the end of the song by realizing that you now have a chance to treat the people that you love, that are still in your life the way that expresses to them what they mean to you.”
She added, “The irony is that my fave part of the whole song is the very end... like the last 30 seconds.”- The new album is sequel to her 2010 debut album, “Pink Friday”.
It was originally scheduled to arrive on October 20, 2023, but the release has been pushed back to November 17, 2023.
She has released two singles “Super Freaky Girl”, which samples Rick James' 1981 hit “Super Freak”, and "Red Ruby da Sleeze" from the album, so far. -
