Jules Brave Releases New Song “Nothing To Talk About”
New York City-based singer-songwriter Jules Brave released a new song “Nothing To Talk About” on August 18, 2023.
The song follows up the collaborative single “If You Should Fall In Love” with Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter David Francisco, which was released back in June.
Also, it is her second solo single of 2023, following “Text My Mom”.
She recorded the song during the COVID-19 pandemic at her home studio in New York.
The track was written and produced by Jules Brave, with production by William Kast and Alina Smith.
“This song includes samples that I made using voice memos on my phone and my first time beat-boxing in a song,” Jules Brave said of the song. “I recorded the vocals in my NYC apartment during Covid, and there are 10s of vocal stacks in the bridge from my friends singing in their homes.”- Jules Brave shared on social media, “I cannot even explain how cool it feels that this is finally out in the world. I wrote this song 3 years ago now which is mind-blowing🤯 and it has always been such a special one to me. This song was such a lesson on editing and refining as a writer, and using fun, different sounds than I ever had in production before (I’m not an amazing producer, so I’m stoked that we got to use a lot of the OG stems from the demo!).”
