Icona Pop Releases New Song “Fall In Love”
Swedish electro-pop duo Icona Pop, consisting of Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt, has released a new song “Fall In Love” on August 18, 2023.
The song is taken from their upcoming second studio album “Club Romantech”, which is due out on September 1, 2023.
The track was written by Aino Jawo, Caroline Hjelt, Yaroslav Polikarpov, Victoria Alkin, Louice Leveau, Emelie Eriksson, and Philip Strand. Produced by YARO and Mark Ralph.
Icona Pop said of the song, “'Fall In Love' is about that moment when you fall sooo hard for someone it's almost like hitting a wall; you get all dizzy and almost lose touch with the ground and can't focus on anything else. The track is kind of an experiment for us to play around with our poppier side; we wanted to play around with mixing up our lyrics, but approach the melody almost like you would with a sample, except it's just us singing.”- The accompanying music video was directed by Kassandra Powell, who filmed on location in Margate, UK.
The new album comprises 15-track, with guest appearances Joel Corry, Rain Radio, Galantis, VIZE, Ultra Naté, and Sofi Tukker.
The duo said of the album, “As Icona Pop, we can release a pop tune or a super hard dance song, and that's who we are. When we started to write this album, we didn't have any rules. We just had a vision we wanted to share with our fans. We're inviting them into our world.”
Aino Jawo added, “We put all of our problems and stress into what we're doing.We love disguising our heartbreaks and sadness in uplifting songs you can dance to. It was a very emotional process, and it's all in the music.” - source : Apple Music
