American singer-songwriter Demi Lovato released a new rock version of “Confident” on August 18, 2023.
The song will appear on their upcoming first remix album “Revamped”, which is set to be released on September 15, 2023 via Island Records.
The original version of the song is featured on their 2015 fifth studio album “Confident”.
Demi Lovato co-wrote the song with Savan Kotecha, Max Martin and Ilya Salmanzadeh.
The new album feature 10 re-recorded rock versions of songs from their previous albums.
Demi Lovato told Rolling Stone about the new album, “I changed the melody a little bit in certain spots and then try to hit higher notes than the originals. I love revisiting these past moments in my career. We’ve done a great job of reenvisioning the songs, and I’m really happy with them.”- They continued, “It’s interesting. Sometimes I’ll perform songs that were breakup songs, and I used to think about the person. I perform them now, and I just don’t think about the person I wrote them for. It’s just different. I don’t know. I think as you grow, you move on from the situations, and the songs mean different things to you.”
