Cate Releases New Song “U Want Me”
Canadian singer-songwriter Cate Canning, aka Cate released a new song “U Want Me” on July 21, 2023.
The song is the third single of 2023, following “Girlfriend” and “Get Better”.
The track was written by Caitlin Canning, Joshua Wilkinson and Navvy. Produced by Karl-Frederik Reichhardt.
The accompanying music video was directed by Abi Ford.
“I wrote U Want Me with my friends Navvy and Josh Wilkinson last summer!,” Caitlin Canning said of the song. “My friend had just gone through a breakup and I had a similar thing the year before. We were joking that the people we were seeing moved on really quickly but then months later regretted it – where we moved on a bit slower but then never returned to the trenches after that. I’ve never really written a more empowering song than this one – it’s honestly delusional but I think in a nice way.
