Debbie Premieres New Song “No Way” on BBC Radio 1
London-based singer-songwriter Debbie Ehirim, aka Debbie premiered a new song “No Way” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Jack Saunders.
The song is the follow-up to a new remix of “Is This Real Love?” featuring Lucky Daye.
She wrote the song with British singer-songwriter MNEK, and producer Knox Brown. Produced by Jonny Coffer, Knox Brown, and Shaun Barrett.
Debbie told Jack Saunders about the song, “I wrote this song when I just broken up with my ex and I was in my savage of my mode, my savage bag, and yeah, this is what I came up with along with the help of an incredible writer called MNEK. And I'm so happy that it's out in the world.”
She explained about songwriting, “I remember I wore sunglasses for like the whole week. And I was just listening to Don't Hurt Yourself by Beyoncé on loop, stomping around everywhere I went. I walked into the session in a bit of a mood and I sang the chorus, but I was so angry I couldn't come up with a verse so I just left it.”
