MOD SUN Releases New Song “Strangers”
American singer-songwriter Derek Ryan Smith, aka MOD SUN released a new song “Strangers” on July 7, 2023.
The song is his first music since the fifth studio album “God Save the Teen”, which was released back in February.
The track was written by Mod Sun, Lil Aaron, SaidTheSky, Brasko, and American Teeth. Produced by Lil Aaron and SaidTheSky.
It is about a reaction to his breakup with ex-fiancée Avril Lavigne.
The couple's engagement ended in February 2023 after the release of “God Save the Teen”.
The accompanying music video was filmed by ForgetBrennan and Danielle Smith in Paris, where he had proposed to Avril Lavigne last year.
His latest album featured on “Avril's Song” and the new single is a continuation of the song.- Back in February, MOD SUN told Rolling Stone about Avril Lavigne, “I'm so fortunate to be in this really healthy relationship. I'm truly with a grown woman, like, my girl is a grown up in the coolest way possible. She balances being this total badass rockstar with being a grown up and being like, it's cool to do that. And she has really shown me that in so many ways and it's just made my future so much more exciting.”
