Sia Shells Returns With New Song “Your Mermaid”
Toronto-based singer-songwriters Sia Shells returned with a new song “Your Mermaid” on June 15, 2023.
The song is her first music since the collaborative song “Girl Gang” featuring Ekelle released last September.
The track was written by Sia Shells. “As a real life mermaid, I thought it was only fitting to create a rally call to all of my fellow merbabes that also identify with ocean-loving, beach babes,” Sia Shells said. “Being a mermaid is mysterious, magical, alluring and enchanting. Mermaids represent so many beautiful things that are associated with the ocean, my favourite place, so I made sure to represent that through the song’s thoughtful lyrics while weaving in a love element with a human, reminiscent of the new The Little Mermaid movie and Ariel’s relationship with Prince Eric. The nostalgic tropical seashell sounds even give “Under the Sea” vibes. 💙🐚”- She added, “I wanted 'Your Mermaid' to have a mix of the moody enchanting siren songs that remind us of classic mermaid scenes from our childhood but also wanted a dancy, uplifting positive light to the whole song so you can blast it out loud at your next beach bash! 🏖️🔱”
