Jessie Murph Teams Up With Maren Morris for New Song “Texas”
American alt-pop singer-songwriter Jessie Murph teamed up with American country music singer-songwriter Maren Morris to release a new song “Texas” on June 9, 2023.
This marks the first collaboration between Jessie Murph and Maren Morris.
In the past, Maren Morris has often collaborated with artists in other genre of the country music, the likes of Niall Horan, JP Saxe, Hozier, Zedd and Grey.
For Jessie Murph, the song is the second single since her debut album “drowning”, following “Cowboys And Angels”.
The track was written by Amy Allen, Jessie Murph and Warren 'Oak' Felder. Produced by Oak and Oscar Linnander.
The accompanying music video was directed by Nicki Fletcher and Mason Allen.
Jessie Murph said of the song, “I’ve been singing Maren’s songs since I was a little girl. She’s someone I’ve always looked up to and I’m so grateful to have her as my first ever feature - especially on a song like ‘Texas’ that I love so much!”
