Albert Kass Releases New Song “Downward”
Los Angeles-based indie folk singer-songwriter Albert Kass released a new song “Downward” on May 31, 2023.
The song is taken from his upcoming debut album “Young Old Man”, which is set to be released in 2023.
The track describes, with a poignant simplicity, the torture and eventual resignation that one faces when seeing someone they care for reach rock bottom, especially amidst the throes of addiction.
It was written by Albert Kass and produced by Billy Mohler.
According to Albert Kass, the track “draws from the act of callusing over” after one has entered a state of “general malaise.”- The debut album comprises 11-track, produced by Billy Mohler.
He has returned to writing and performing after two careers and two decades.
Albert Kass said, “Call me a late bloomer. All the perceptions were there. But I didn’t feel I was called to music until now.”
The sound production is minimal, to enhance intimacy and his easy, deep melodies.
