  • Staind Drops New Music Video for “Lowest In Me”

  • Back in April, American rock band Staind, consisting of Aaron Lewis (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Mike Mushok (lead guitar), Johnny April (bass) and Sal Giancarelli (drums), announced their upcoming eighth studio album “Confessions of the Fallen” would be released in September via BMG.

The album is their first body of work in 12 years since the 2011 self-titled album.
Also, it is the first album under their new label BMG.
The band frontman Aaron Lewis said of the album, “I did want to modernise the sound and bring us up to date. You can certainly recognize the band but at the same time you can hear that we've been paying attention and understand what kind of sounds and approaches we can use that maybe weren't around the last time we did this.”
Guitarist Mike Mushok added, “It's undeniably Aaron's voice, and same for the songs. We got together and spent a lot of time focusing on direction, and we really like how it turned out.”
From the album, the band dropped a new music video for “Lowest In Me” directed by Djay Brawner on June 1, 2023.
The song was released as the first single off of the album on on April 19, 2023.
The track was written by Staind and produced by Erik Ron.
  • Aaron Lewis told Billboard about the song, “I never know what the f–k the songs are about unless it's blatantly obvious to me. Everybody has got people in their lives that don't bring out the good in somebody. Just with what's going on in the world right now, there's so many things, so many people that are like, 'You bring out the lowest in me.' There's a lot of factors out there that could fall under the 'you' category.”
He continued, “Every day I would set up a little ProTools rig on the bus. I had a laptop and an interface, and I'd just sit there and play and find something I liked. And that was one I came up with.”

  • The band embarks on a 25-city co-headlining 2023 tour with American rock band Godsmack.
The tour kicks off at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis, MO on July 18, 2023.
Aaron Lewis said, “We're really looking forward to being out with Sully and the guys this summer. The first time we shared the stage with Godsmack was the 1998 Warped Tour and here we are 25 years later still going strong.”
Mike Mushok, added, “We're stoked to be sharing the stage with our old friends this summer.”
