ROSIE Announces New EP “5 Songs for Healing”, Shares New Song “Potential”
New York-based singer-songwriter ROSIE has announced her upcoming sophomore EP “5 Songs for Healing” will be released on June 6, 2023 via Arista Records.
It is her first project in two years since the 2021 debut EP “20mg of Happiness”.
The new EP instead reflects on herself, and how she feels, not how someone made her feel.
ROSIE said of the EP, “5 Songs For Healing is all about finding myself. It captures the good, the bad, the pain, and the beauty that comes with heartbreak, growth, and ultimately healing.”
From the EP. she unveiled a new song “Potential” on May 26, 2023.
It was written by Rosaileen Scher, Andrew Haas, and Ian Franzino. Produced by Afterhrs.
“'Potential' is the last track I wrote for this EP,” ROSIE said of the song. “It is about seeing the best in someone even when you shouldn't, and recognizing the consequences of having a big heart. As painful as it is to walk away from someone you love, you know deep down it would be more painful to stay. Creating this song healed me in so many ways, I learned so much about myself, and I hope it has the same effect on everyone who hears it!”- The accompanying music video was directed by Christopher Phelps.
She explained the video, “I really wanted the viewer to see and feel the difference between those shots and the reality” shots”.
Recently, ROSIE co-wrote Canadian singer Céline Dion's song “Love Again”, which was released in April from of the same name soundtrack.
ROSIE said, “This is the proudest moment of my songwriting career thus far 💙 So honored to have written the title track for this film 'Love Again' with my dear friend and mentor Dan Wilson!”
She embarks on an 11-date US tour in support of the EPP in June. The tour kicks off at Brighton Music Hall in Boston, MA on June 1, 2023 and will conclude at Bowery Ballroom in New York, NY on June 21, 2023.
