Busted Teams Up With Hanson for New Single “MMMBop 2.0”
British pop punk band Busted, consisting of James Bourne (vocals/rhythm guitar), Matt Willis (vocal/bass) and Charlie Simpson (vocals/lead guitar), teamed up with American pop rock band Hanson to release a new single “MMMBop 2.0” on May 26, 2023.
The song is a reworked version of “MMMBop”, which is included on Hanson's 1997 debut album “Middle of Nowhere”.
It was written by Zac Hanson, Taylor Hanson and Isaac Hanson. The new version was produced by Phil Gornell.
The track will appear on Busted's upcoming reworked greatest hits album as a celebration of their 20th anniversary.
Busted said of the song, “It's such an honour to sing this 90's classic with the band who made it 25 years on from original release. Something a bit different that we hope will bring some happiness to all of you and we cannot wait to have HANSON out with us on tour in September around the UK & Ireland.”
