Against The Current Releases New Song “good guy”
New York-based pop-rock band Against The Current, consisting of Christina Costanza (lead vocals), Daniel Gow (lead guitar) and William Ferri (drums), released a new song “good guy” on April 21, 2023.
The track was written by Christina Costanza, Daniel Gow, William Ferri, and Cassandra Stroberg.
Produced by Nick Radovanovic and William Ferri.
Christina Costanza describes the track as “all about going from anger to apathy, recognizing that this person that hurt you is too sad to hate, don't ignore the red flags, trust your gut.”
The accompanying music video was directed by Jade Ehlers.
William Ferri told Rock Sound about the song, “I think I made the track like last summer and then we just kind of lived with that instrumental and we like really loved it but we're working on a bunch of other stuff and then we're like this track just feels really good let's try to finish it.”- wAQbrjhwVAk

Christina Costanza continued, “We actually like recorded it kind of out of order like they went into the studio and recorded all the instrumentation like whole track everything but vocals before there was a top line. So it was definitely a risk but they went recorded three tracks and this was one of them and then I worked with the same top liner that I worked with in blindfolded Cassandra who I just like I'm so obsessed with and we have so much fun writing together and we did 'good guy'.”
Daniel Gow said, “It might have just been the way this one was recorded as well we went in there and just did guitar space and drums.”-
William Ferri added, “Kind the old school meam to any like you know musicians or people in bands and stuff, we did like all real guitars and stuff which isn't really comp like real amps like most people are just plugging into their Kemper or something like that but we're like we're going in the studio just to record the meat and potatoes like drums, bass guitar you might as well make them as good as possible and so we spent the time and actually plugged in some real amps we actually blew up a cabinet in the process of recording this song like actually exploded the speakers so it's high octane Rock.” - source : Apple Music
