Jess Glynne Returns WIth New Song “Silly Me”
British singer-songwriter Jess Glynne returned with a new song “Silly Me” on April 28, 2023.
It is her first music in four years since the 2019 collaborative song "One Touch" with British DJ Jax Jones.
Also, the song is the first single under her new label EMI after leaving Atlantic Records. And she changed her management team to Roc Nation.
The track was written by Jess Glynne, Knox Brown, P2J, and Mike Horner. Produced by Knox Brown, P2J, Malay and Jess Glynne.
Jess Glynne told RollingStone about the song, “It's like, 'I've been through life and I've learned, you know? I've selected the wrong people and I've done the wrong jobs. And I've been here, and I've done that. But I had to do that in order to get to here. And I think everyone needs to be less hard on themselves.”
She added, “I do find myself saying that [phrase] a lot.”- Back in June 2019, Jess Glynne cancelled the Isle of Wight Festival her set minutes before she was due on stage. Then he received a lifetime ban from the Isle of Wight Festival. (the ban was revoked less than a year later)
She confessed that her reason for canceling was after celebrating the end of the Spice World tour.
After that, she announced she was pulling out of several other festivals on the advice of her throat surgeon.
Recently, she shared on social media, "I haven't done a project of my own for five years! How much I have changed in that period of time, how much my life has changed. I've really come to a place in my life where, I feel so incredibly content with the woman I am today. The fear and the (you know) doubt just disappears." - source : Apple Music
