Colbie Caillat Returns With New Song “Worth It”
American singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat returned with a new song “Worth It” on April 21, 2023.
It is her first solo music in seven years since the 2016 album “The Malibu Sessions”.
Also, the song will appear on her upcoming seventh studio album.
The track was written by Colbie Caillat, Liz Rose and AJ Pruis, and produced by Jamie Kenney.
“I think that everyone can relate to drifting apart from a past love,” Colbie Caillat said of the song. “Although it’s a painful process, it’s a beautiful thing to be able to look back at that time in your life with new perspective and realize that what was gained from that relationship was worth all of the low points.”- The accompanying music video was directed by Patrick Tracy. The video premiered exclusively via Taste of Country and The Boot.
She told Taste of Country and The Boot, “I had a vision for this music video to capture the emotion of the lyrics through dance. I think it's one of the most beautiful ways of expression. The ebbs and flows between two people coming together and drifting apart.”
She added, “Some endings can be beautiful, and you can be grateful for the time you shared together. This is the first song I wrote for this new album.” - source : Apple Music
