Versus The World Releases New Song “Your Wedding and a Funeral”
American pop punk band Versus The World, consisting of Donald Ashley Spence (vocals/guitar), Chris Flippin (guitar), Sean Sellers (drums), Patrick Solem (bass) and Tony Caraffa (guitar), will release their fourth studio album “The Bastards Live Forever” on May 26, 2023 via SBÄM Records.
It is their first album in eight years since the 2015 album “Homesick/Roadsick”.
The album comprises 11-track, Produced by Cameron Webb.
From the album, the band released a new song “Your Wedding and a Funeral” on March 31, 2023.
It was written by Donald Spence, Tony Caraffa, Chris Flippin, Sean Sellers, and Patrick Solem. Produced by Cameron Webb.
Donald Ashley Spence said of the song, “'Your Wedding and a Funeral' is a complex yet extremely melodic and rememberable song, most likely in the musical context of mid-western emo and post-punk. It is about lost love.”- He continued, “This song is kind of a confession. An admittance of guilt. It's hard to look at something that has been broken and say out loud that you're the reason. It really was therapeutic to write and it's one of my favorite choruses on the record. There are 2 versions of this song and when I go back and listen to the first rendition I'm really stoked on the way it turned out.”
