Anish Kumar Premieres New Song “Praise” on BBC Radio 1
Cambridge-based DJ Anish Kumar premiered a new song “Praise” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song will appear on his upcoming project, following the EP “Bollywood Super Hits!” released last October.
It was written and produced by Anish Kumar. He made the track during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.
Anish Kumar told Clara Amfo about the song, “You know, funnily enough like I didn't think it was like the one to lead with and the one to bring out it was I made it during lockdown. It was kind of like an interlude type thing for my upcoming project. And when I finally showed the tunes to like my management in the context of the mixtape and things like that, they really like pick that one out is 'Okay, this is a big chain, we need to bring this up first.' So it's just one of those things like it. I didn't really surprise me but here we are.”- He said of the next project, “I've got loads of tunes basically. It's really important to me these tunes actually because they did a lot to showcase my music to people in general. During like the lockdown period, a couple of them got picked up by Annie and Sarah story during that time. So I'm just so gassed actually to be able to get them out now.”
