Battle Tapes Releases New Song “One Night in Burbank”
Los Angeles-based electronic rock band Battle Tapes, consisting of Josh Boardman (vocals/guitar), Riley Mackin (keyboards), Stephen Bannister (bass) and Pete Kraynak (drums), released a new song “One Night in Burbank” on March 17, 2023.
The song is taken from their upcoming second studio album “Texture”, which is set to be released on May 5, 2023.
The new album is their first LP in eight years since the 2015 debut album “Polygon”.
The track was written by Josh Boardman.
Josh Boardman said of the song, “I'm always looking for ways to push the boundaries of what's expected in pop-rock music. 'One Night in Burbank' is a perfect example of that. It's a song that combines the nostalgia of the 80s and 90s with a sound uniquely Battle Tapes. The lyrics may be about a night of drug use and self-destructive behavior, but the song ultimately celebrates the human experience, both the highs and the lows.”- Photo by Holy Smoke
