Mike Shinoda & Kailee Morgue Release New Song “In My Head” from Original Motion Picture “Scream VI” Soundtrack
American rock band Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda joined in the original motion picture “Scream VI” soundtrack.
The song is the follow-up to “Still Alive”, which was released by American singer-songwriter Demi Lovato last week.
This time, he teamed up with American singer-songwriter Kailee Morgue on the track.
The track was written by Mike Shinoda and Jake Torrey. Produced by Mike Shinoda.
The accompanying animated music video was directed by Jacky Lu.
Mike Shinoda said of the song, “I love that this moment is both a look backward and a look forward, releasing an Anniversary retrospective of Meteora and brand-new music at the same time. My whole career, I've jumped from Linkin Park to solo stuff to working with others, and it feels great to dive back into that rhythm. Plus, having both 'In My Head' and Demi Lovato's 'Still Alive' in the new Scream VI film is a huge thrill.”- Kailee Morgue said, “I feel so lucky and honored to be on 'In My Head', Mike Shinoda sent me the track and I immediately could hear where we could take it and knew it would be perfect for the movie! I've incorporated scream references into several videos/visuals of mine and it's insane to have a full circle moment like this.”
“Scream VI” is a sequel to the 2022 film Scream” and the sixth installment in the Scream film series. It was released on March 10, 2023.
The film was directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, starring Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Hayden Panettiere, and Courteney Cox. - source : Apple Music
