6LACK Announces New Album, Shares New Song “Since I Have A Lover”
American singer-songwriter 6LACK announced his third studio album “Since I Have A Lover” would be released on March 24, 2023 via LVRN/Interscope Records.
It is his first album in five years since the 2018 album “East Atlanta Love Letter”.
From the album, he unveiled the title track along with a music video on March 1, 2023.
The track was written by Adeyinka Bankole, Dylan Wiggins, Mark Anthony Spears, and Ricardo Valdez Valentine Jr.
Produced by Fwdslxsh, Sounwave, and Dylan Wiggins. The accompanying video was directed by Andrew Donoho.
“‘Since I Have A Lover’, the title track, is the highs of having a healthy love, compressed into song format. It’s a note to self, that I’m no longer who I was or where I was, and that there’s a bigger purpose starting to reveal itself in the things I create,” 6LACK said of the song in a statement. “We are simply pushing love, because it’s needed. The verses are short and serve as a moment of acknowledgment for how I feel, and the chorus is less of a lyric and more of a feeling.
