Crown The Empire Announces New Album, Shares New Song “DOGMA”
American metalcore band Crown The Empire, consisting of Andy Leo (vocals), Brandon Hoover (guitar), Hayden Tree (bass/vocals), and Jeeves Avalos (drums), announced their fifth studio album “DOGMA” would be released on April 28, 2023 via Rise Records.
The album comprises 10-track, featuring guest appearances from Courtney LaPlante and Remington Leith, produced by Zach Jones.
It is their first album in four yeas since the 2019 album “Sudden Sky”.
The album is a diverse fueled by angst, existential identity, isolation, and determination.
Over the last three years, the band took time to reflect on personal and collective priorities. This introspection is reflected lyrically in “DOGMA”.
The band frontman Andy Leo said, “The lyrics are less wordy and lofty. It's more honest and direct.”- “We brought back the classic elements of Crown without taking anything away from what we've done more recently,” the band bassist Hayden Tree said. “The high-energy, fast-paced, hard-hitting riffs, with the band's more melodic side, mashed together into an updated sound.”
From the album, the band released the title track “DOGMA” along with a music video on February 24, 2023.
The track is the fourth single off, following “Immortalize”, “In Another Life” featuring Spiritbox's Courtney LaPlante, and “Dancing With The Dead”.
It was written by Brandon Hoover, Andrew Rockhold, Hayden Tree, Josh Strock, and Zach Jones. Produced by Zach Jones.
The accompanying music video was co-directed by Vicente Cordero and the band guitarist Brandon Hoover. -
