Gracie Abrams Releases New Song “Amelie”
American singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams released a new song “Amelie” on February 10, 2023.
The song is the third single off of her upcoming debut album “Good Riddance”, following “Difficult” and “Where do we go now?”.
The track was written by Gracie Abrams, and Aaron Dessner, who also produced it.
The debut album features 12-track and is set to be released on February 24, 2023.
Gracie Abrams said of the album, “It forced me to reflect and be accountable. It allowed me to walk away from versions of myself that I no longer recognized. It allowed me to let go.”
She told Rolling Stone about the album, “I wanted really badly to get to a place in my life, as I am entering adulthood in a more real way, where I'm being more straightforward with myself and not falling into the trap of victimhood in a situation sometimes, but really owning my shit some more.”- She continued, “I feel really more grateful than I ever have for what songwriting has provided me just as a person outside of music,” Abrams shared. “I grew up using it as a tool to process shit but like…to have done it and to finish something…I very much felt like I had kind of done the grieving and really let go of what I needed to.”
Gracie Abrams embarks on The Good Riddance Tour in North America in support of the album. The tour kicks off at House of Blues in Chicago on March 7 and will conclude at The Fillmore in San Francisco on April 10, 2023.
Also, she will open for “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” on select dates.
