Tones And I Releases New Song “I Made It” from Netflix Film “True Spirit”
Australian singer-songwriter Toni Watson, aka Tones And I wrote a new song “I Made It” for Netflix Film “True Spirit” and released on February 3, 2023.
The film “True Spirit” is based on the true story of Jessica Watson, who is an Australian sailor who was awarded the Order of Australia Medal after attempting a solo global circumnavigation at the age of 16.
The film was directed by Sarah Spillane, starring Teagan Croft, Cliff Curtis, and Anna Paquin.
The track was written by Toni Watson. Produced by Tones and I & Dann Hume.
Director Sarah Spillane said, “Working with Tones was a gift. We talked a lot about the themes in True Spirit and I was blown away by how she managed to capture the struggle, emotion, and triumph of Jessica's story in the original song 'I Made It'. We also talked about the similar 'against all odds' journeys that Tones, Jessica, our lead actress Teagan, and I have undergone so I think Tones really resonated with the story.
