Callum Beattie Releases New Song “Let Me Fall”
Scottish singer-songwriter Callum Beattie released a new song “Let Me Fall” on January 20, 2023.
The song is the fourth single off of his upcoming sophomore album “Vandals”, following “Heart Stops Beating”, “Can’t Kill the Summer”, ‘What It means”.
It was written by Callum Beattie, Daniel Neil McDougall, and David Sneddon. Produced by Chris Marshall.
The accompanying music video features some recording footages of the album.
The new album is set to be released on February 24, 2023. Initially, the album was supposed to be released last October.
It is his first album in three years since the 2020 debut album “People Like Us”.
The album comprises 13-track, produced by Chris Marshall. It draws his roots, like about Scotland, working class life, and coming of age.- “I grew up in a post Thatcher Britain, in a fairly rough part of Scotland, raised by my dad, and experienced the poverty and roughness of those times first hand,” Callum Beattie said of the album. “Culturally, it was a very specific period in history, where you could almost feel the class divide on the local streets. I feel strongly that we are moving towards a culturally similar period in history.”
He added about the artwork of the album, “We chose to take a different approach to the artwork and have used an iconic photo by a very iconic photographer called Gavin Watson. Gavin was the inspiration behind Shane Meadows’ ‘This Is England,’ and working with him was a dream come true.” -
