  • As December Falls Premieres New Song “Carousel” on BBC Radio 1

  • Nottingham-based pop-punk band As December Falls, consisting of Bethany Curtis (vocals), Ande Hunter (guitar), and Timmy Francis (bass), premiered a new song “Carousel” along with a music video on BBC Radio 1's Future Alternative.

The track is the third single off of their upcoming third studio album “Join the Club”, following “Mayday” and “Home”.
It was written by As December Falls and produced by Alex Copp. The accompanying video was directed by Justin Griffiths.
The band frontwoman Bethany Curtis said of the song, “Have you ever seen two people that are just terrible for each other? You’re standing on the outside powerless to help as they go through the same vicious cycle again and again. Carousel is about the ups and downs of a toxic relationship and falling in love with hating each other just so you can fall in love all over again. You end up in a bad cycle that leaves you feeling dizzy and like you are on a carousel going round and round, but you just can’t see how unhealthy it is for you.”
  • The new album is set to be released on July 21, 2023. It is their first project in two years since the 2021 album“ Happier.”.
Also the album is their first album without drummer Lukas James, who left the band last December.
The band announced, “It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing that Lukas is leaving As December Falls. After an amazing 8 years of being the best drummer we could have asked for, he is moving on to focus on family and teaching drums. From myself (Bethany), Ande and Timmy - we wish him the absolute best in his new adventures and he will be incredibly missed from the band. We are super proud of the records we got to make with Lukas and Join The Club is some of his absolute best work.”

  • Lukas James shared, “Hey guys, Lukas here. I have been in As December Falls for 8 years but it’s time for me to depart. I’m so grateful to have played all over the UK and Europe and to have met some amazing people along the way.
It’s been great to work with Beth, Ande and Timmy over the years and I wish them all best in the future. I want to thank all the fans I really appreciate guys and will miss all of you very much.”
