Fih Releases New Song “Aye Yai Yai”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Fih released a new song “Aye Yai Yai” on December 9, 2022.
The song will appear on her upcoming debut EP “La Brea Baby”, which is set to be released on March 3, 2023.
It was written by Fih and produced by Tay, Nathan Alexander Fox, Stephán, Shaan Ramaprasad, and Rah'Kiv Lewis.
Fih said of the song, “I reminisce about my first heartbreak and as the song goes on I realize more and more that this person was never meant for me.”
The debut EP comprises 8-track, produced by Chailatay and Nate Fox..
This project has a diverse range of sounds from slowed down R&B to house music and back to hip hop.- This project was created entirely by scratch which required Fih and Chailatay to bring in many live musicians. Some consistent names seen throughout the project are Stephan Hicks, Nigel Fergozo, and Brooke Magidson. When it came to the songwriting, Fih had to dig deep into certain feelings and experiences in order to make sure each song had the same vulnerability. After the story was finished being written, she was given assistance from Summer Greer and Tatiana Snead with vocal arrangement on a few songs.
