  • Olly Murs Releases New Album “Marry Me”: Streaming

  • British singer-songwriter Olly Murs released his seventh studio album “Marry Me” on December 2, 2022.

It is his first album in four years since the 2018 album “You Know I Know”.
Also, it is the first album under his new label EMI Records, who signed to him back in August.
The album comprises 11-track, including two preceding singles “Die Of A Broken Heart” and “I Hate You When You're Drunk”.
Produced by David Stewartand written by Bradley Simpson, David Stewart, Jessica Agombar and Olly Murs.
Olly Murs told Chris Evans of Breakfast Show with Sky about the album, “I had no deadline for the album. So I just took my time. Then…I left Sony and went with EMI. When they got on board, that's when it got stressful. But over the two years when I didn't have a record deal really, it was nice to have the freedom to just write when we wanted to write. [The album] is the best 11 songs that I wrote over that period.”
Olly Murs said. “I've never done this before. It felt weird writing with the same people constantly. But I loved the routine and the consistency. We just kept writing good songs. They had a great vibe and an enthusiasm and a hunger.”
  • Olly Murs explained some tracks for the album.

    “Die Of A Broken Heart”
“It has that steel drum at the intro, which just gets in your head straight away. It has a very Gotye, 'Somebody I Used to Know' feel to it, with a touch of The Police – and just a coolness to it. That really excited me. 2 years in the making and I ain't gunna lie I'm proper nervous about it 😬 I'm absolutely buzzing for you to hear this one. It's genuinely the best music I've ever done!”

“I Hate You When You're Drunk”
“I thought it was a fun song to write as there have been so many times where a friend, family member or loved one has had one too many,” Olly Murs said of the song. “It's a light-hearted take from the sober person's point of view. We all know someone!!!!”

  • He embarks on Marry Me UK Tour 2023 in support of the album. The tour kicks off at Ovo Hydro in Glasgow on April 21, 2023 and will conclude at Castle Park in Colchester on August 27, 2023.
