Thomas Headon Premieres New Song “Georgia” on BBC Radio 1
London-based singer-songwriter Thomas Headon premiered a new song “Georgia” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song is the first single since the EP “Victoria”, which was released back in March.
It was written and produced by Thomas Headon with production by Stephen Barnes.
Thomas Headon said of the song, “We've actually been sitting on this song for over a year now. I wrote it by myself with my little acoustic guitar in London, then finally produced it up into 100 different versions with my friend Stephen months later, finally landing on this one. It's actually not even about someone called Georgia, it's more pointed towards the US state... also which I have nothing to do with, but it's a metaphor. Anyway it's my favorite song of mine to date, I hope people like it.”- Thomas Headon told Clara Amfo about the song, “I just look, songs have names as titles just really worked for me, apparently. They do now, but it's actually to be honest. The first line of the song sums up the whole song. It's actually not that person. It's about the state of Georgia.”
He continued, “Georgia the state it's not what it is about person but the point of the song is that they like oh they live in Georgia and I'm not in Georgia. But to be honest, their name isn't Georgia but it shows it this is a song for my George's so to gorgeous this is my song for you. You're welcome.” - source : BBC Radio 1
