Jacob Collier Drops New Live Video for “Can't Help Falling In Love”
British singer-songwriter Jacob Collier has dropped a new live video for a cover of Elvis Presley's “Can't Help Falling In Love”.
The video was directed by André Tentugal, who filmed it at Coliseu de Lisboa in Lisbon on July 29, 2022 during Jacob Collier's The Djesse World Tour 2022.
The song features on his first live album “Piano Ballads (Live From The Djesse World Tour 2022)”, which was released back in September.
The original version of the song was released by American singer Elvis Presley from his fourth soundtrack album “Blue Hawaii” in 1961.
On the tour, he performed a reimagined version of a popular song at the halfway point of the show each night.
Jacob Collier said, “This year, I set myself the challenge of playing a spontaneous rendition of a different song every night on tour - with the help of my extraordinary musical audience.”- bW1hZ1ix-70

Before the release of the live video, he had dropped another video entitled “Jacob Collier & The Audience Choir – Can't Help Falling In Love”.
Jacob Collier asked audience members in each city to collectively film themselves singing a different word from the Elvis Presley song “Can't Help Falling In Love” and to upload their recording using a special QR code.
He received over 10,000 submissions and assembled the video bringing together over 100,000 voices.
Jacob Collier said, “To bring 100,000 voices together in harmony has been a dream of mine for so long! What began as an experiment evolved into a fully-fledged extravaganza – to record every word in a different city and piece them all together, using encore-based audience choir videos as the harmonic backdrop. The wild thing to me is that it sounds like the same group of people singing the whole Elvis song – one big choir. I will treasure this video for the rest of my life.”- source : YouTube
