Bonnie Kemplay Announces Debut EP “running out of things to say, running out of things to do”, Shares New Song “Static”
British singer-songwriter Bonnie Kemplay announced her debut EP “running out of things to say, running out of things to do” would be released on November 14, 2022 via Dirty Hit.
The EP comprises 6-track, including the recent singles “19” and “Was it obvious?”.
From the EP, she unveiled a new song “Static” on September 14, 2022.
The track was written by Bonnie Kemplay. Co-produced by Joseph Rodgers and Toby Ollis-Brownstone.
“’Static’ is about my experience with a repetitive strain injury in my arms which put me out of playing guitar for 18 months,” Bonnie Kemplay said of the song in a statement. “At the time I felt hopeless and uncertain of when or if I’d recover.”- She shared on social media, “i wrote this song last year when my arms were really messed up and i didn’t know when or if i’d be able to play guitar again. ironic because the guitar part is p techers and i was totally misbehaving and playing in order to write it #lol #painisgain. plz take rsi seriously. it’s very serious. planning on making a post at some point to share my experience of being injured. figuring out how to articulate it. want to maximise pity and fear..”
