Tagua Tagua Releases New Song “Tanto”
Brazilian singer-songwriter Felipe Puperi, aka Tagua Tagua released a new song “Tanto” on September 23, 2022.
The song is the first single off of his upcoming sophomore album of the same name. Also, it is first single under his new label Wonderwheel Recordings.
It was written and produced by Felipe Puperi. “Tanto” means “so much” in Portuguese.
“For this single, the idea was to create a minimalist and abstract universe on top of the feeling of falling in love. It is chemical, a unique sensation, like having a drug in the body,” Felipe Puperi said of the song. “It's a song to feel the breeze, traveling in the sunset with the windows open feeling the wind slide on your face. I recorded this song in a wooden house in the mountains near São Paulo in mid-2021. It was me, drummer Leo Mattos and multi-instrumentalist JoJo playing together live and recording ideas. The song doesn't have many instruments, it's basically based on drums, guitar, bass and electric piano.”- The new album is expected to be released in Spring 2023, It is his first album in tree years since the 2020 debut album “Inteiro Metade”.
He said, “It's so much that I don't even know. About two years ago everything was very different, I had no idea that today would be like this. There was a lot of silence and space between things – space goes on, but silence gave way to different sounds – there was more green, less chaos, more emptiness, solitude and, who knows, solitude. There, at that time, I started recording songs non-stop, because that's what I wanted to do even without knowing where it would take me (much less when it would take me where I didn't know). They were mostly love songs, about being delighted to feel, about discovering a thousand layers hidden for a long time.
