Dawid Podsiadło Releases New Song “Let You Down” from Netflix “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners”
Polish singer-songwriter Dawid Podsiadło released the ending theme of Netflix's “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” called “Let You Down” along with a music video on September 13, 2022.
“Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” is Netflix's anime series and spin-off of Cyberpunk 2077 created by Studio Trigger.
The series tells a standalone, 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in Night City - a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future.
This is not the first collaboration between Dawid Podsiadło and Netflix.
In 2021, he joined in a special advertisement promoting the second season of “The Witcher”, where he performed “Geralt of Rivia”.
The song was written by Dawid Podsiadło, and Magdalena Laskowska. Produced by Akira Yamaoka.
The accompanying video was directed by Ilya Kuvshinov.
Dawid Podsiadło shared on social media, “The invitation to this project came in 2.5 years ago so I'm even more excited to finally show it off. It was a great pleasure to collaborate with Cyberpunk 2077 on the CD PROJEKT RED series: Edgerunners.”- He continued, “I've spent many hours in the world of CP2077 gaming, and the show is a wonderful opportunity to revisit. The result of this collaboration is the song 'Let You Down', created specifically for the series, and an incredible music video that is a self-story embedded in the world of Edgerunners. Mr. Akira Yamaoka accepted the invitation for production cooperation on the music layer, which for connoisseurs of the darker quality of video games probably gives a nice squeeze in the stomach.”
He added, “ Music and games are two of my biggest passions so I still can't believe that I can be a part of such a fantastic international project with the participation of such an age of incredibly talented creators.” - source : Apple Music
