Duncan Laurence Releases New Song “Electric Life”
Dutch singer-songwriter Duncan Laurence released a new song “Electric Life” on August 4, 2022.
The song follows up a cover of Berlin's “Take My Breath Away”, which was released back in May.
Also, the track is the first single off of his upcoming sophomore album, which is expected to be released later this year.
It was written and co-produced by Leroy Clampitt, Jordan Garfield, Duncan Laurence and Paul Shelton.
Duncan Laurence said of the song, “In 'Electric Life' I sing about looking back consciously and with pleasure and gratitude on loved ones who are no longer there. A positive song about converting intense sadness in hope. A dive into your memories is probably the closest thing to a visit to heaven, to the people you have lost.”
He continued, “It starts with piano, which is a reference to 'Arcade,' and then it explodes into this up-tempo pre-chorus. You can sing about sad things, but there has to be a little bit of sunshine poking through those big gray clouds.”- source : Apple Music
