Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Ascendia Releases New Song “This War”
Toronto-based heavy metal band Ascendia, consisting of John Love (guitar), Billy Love (drums) and Nick Sakal (vocals), released a new song “This War” along with a music video on July 15, 2022.
The song is an anthem for those who struggle internally and their suffering.
It was written by John Love, Billy Love, Nick Sakal, and Gavin Brown, who also produced the track.
The accompanying video was directed by Alex McFarland.
“Everyone faces adversity and everyone has a battle going on deep within them,” the band frontman Nick Sakal said of the song. “For some of us it’s from the moment we wake up in the morning till we put our heads on our pillows to sleep at night. It’s a reminder to never give up and to always keep fighting.”
