Will Linley Releases Debut EP “kill all my feelings”: Streaming
South African singer-songwriter Will Linley released his debut EP “kill all my feelings” along with a new music video for the title track on July 20, 2022 via BMG.
The EP comprises 5-track, produced by Noble and John Samuel Gerhart. The new video was directed by Iris Kim.
“The 'kill all my feelings' EP is a snapshot into my mind over the last 2 years and is an amalgamation of different sounds, feelings, and emotions,” Will Linley said of the EP. “When putting this EP together I tried my best to never fall into 'one sound' for all my songs. I've tried to cover a variety of different genres throughout this project. Although each song has its own unique world, they somehow all fit together as a cohesive body of work, and that is why I love it so much. This EP is a part of my heart that I'm giving to the world and I'm so excited for everyone to hear it.”
The 20-year-old singer continued, “I love to tell a story with my music. Sometimes it's reflective of my own personal life experience, and other times it's a story–but always, it's something I can relate to. I find that writing music helps me process my own life, and emotions, and I realize as I share my songs with my friends that the stories can speak to other people too.”- Will Linley explained of some tracks for the EP.
“miss me (when you're gone)”
“miss me (when you're gone)' is a very personal song for me. I had met someone who I felt brought out the best part of me. The song is about me realising that I'm going to miss the person that I am when I am around her, when we can no longer be together.”
“i don't wanna be yours”
“This song was the first song I ever wrote with David and Bubele. It was the first time I had ever even collaborated with anyone else on a song. I didn't know what I was doing, I didn't know how to go about writing with someone else. But they were so kind and so patient. This song is the result of trying a whole bunch of ideas and seeing what stuck.”
“wrong time"
“The song is about meeting the right girl at the wrong time. It's a very personal song and means a lot to me as an artist. I love the up-tempo guitar riffs and it always makes me wanna vibe out!”
“kill all my feelings”
“kill all my feelings' is such a special song to me. The way it came to be was so natural and easy, it kind of fell into our laps! I wrote it with my friend John Samual over zoom about a year ago and to this day it's one of my favourite songs to perform live.” -
