The Big Moon Announces New Album “Here Is Everything”, Premieres New Song “Wide Eyes” on BBC Radio 1
London-based four-piece band The Big Moon, consisting of Juliette Jackson, Soph Nathan, Celia Archer and Fern Ford, premiered a new song “Wide Eyes” along with a music video on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song is the first taste from their upcoming third studio album “Here Is Everything”.
It was written by Juliette Jackson and Jessica Winter. Produced by Juliette Jackson, Sophie Nathan, Adam 'Cecil' Bartlett, Fern Ford and Jessica Winter.
Juliette Jackson told Clara Amfo about the song, “I think it's just actually it's a song about I had a baby last year. And it's a song about kind of coming through that massive change and starting to feel okay about it. Or even starting to feel really great about it and like just feeling a buzz of life and love and I'm just Yeah, it's really amazing to be able to share that feeling like when I listen to this song. It makes me want to cry because it's just such a snapshot of like, such a crazy blissed out like full mono time.”- The new album is set to be released on October 14, 2022 and comprises 11-track. It is their first album in two years.
They started to make the album during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in 2020.
Juliette Jackson said of the album, “I started writing at the start of the lockdown and 2020, because I was like, 'what else am I going to do?' So there's a lot of songs about I guess it's actually mostly about feeling the freedom from the end of that and being together again, but then obviously, I got pregnant, and I gave birth and then I wrote a bunch of songs about six months into being a mum as well. So it sort of covers that whole journey. Yeah, it's really emotional record. There's like so many stories in.” -
